Winter VLN starts for Racing

First round of the 5 race simracing championship to take place on Saturday. Racing will take part in the opening round of the iRacing Winter VLN Endurance Championship. The team, consisting of Dan Dracea and Robin Nordbøen, will tackle the 4h race on Saturday – the first of 5 endurance races scheduled in the coming months.

“We are quite excited, as is everybody else,” Dracea said. There will be lots of cars on track, and a fair few of them slower than us, so it will be challenging to manage traffic.”

Close to 60 teams will line up at the start of the race, with 5 car classes on the grid. Racing will drive the #128 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in the red and black PitStops livery which was specially created for the championship.

The day will incorporate practice and qualifying, with the race to start at around 16:00 EET.

“To finish the race has to be our main goal,” Dracea concluded. “I’d love to finish in the top 5 in our class, but we must focus on getting the car across the line. Racing for such a long time without mistakes can be tough.”

You can watch the whole day unfold on Dan’s Stream, where the team will try to stay in touch with viewers.
